Having said that, this episode does seem happier to spend a little more time setting up and handling its scenarios; in particular, it dedicates a big chunk of this episode to a dream "force-fed" to Takane as some kind of "action series meets art school" adventure. Despite that, it's actually some of the more quick-fire, throwaway gags which worked better for me, such as characters voicing over the chickens or people across the school complex with made-up lines, or the 100,001% joke made towards the end of the episode. Not laugh out loud hilarious, but mildly amusing nonetheless.

To be honest, i probably got my biggest kick out of some of more directly art-related sections of the episode, if only because they brought back fond memories of breaking out the pencils for sketching, ending up with a black hand after using soft pencils for too long and then leaning on the drawing, and so on. As a nostalgia trip to my days of GCSE and A-Level art, it was a fun little distraction. However, that still isn't really anything like enough for GA to leapfrog the comic wonders of Hidamari Sketch; indeed, "fun little distraction" is probably the best thought I can muster for this series as it stands.
