It may be the start of August here in the real world, but in Hetalia-land it appears that it's Christmas! Just a tad early there, guys...
Anyhow, this episode sees Italy build a rather lackluster Christmas tree while also urging Germany and Japan to do the same (with the latter having watched too much Evangelion judging by his design I suspect). As per usual when these three are sat around on a desert island, it isn't long before the Allied forces attack (courtesy as always of China and his wok), only to be thwarted by the visit of Finland... or rather Santa. Or Finland dressed as Santa, if we're going to be precise.
This rather unexpected visit of festive spirit is rather hard to get into in the middle of a wet British summer, and the jokes were rather thin on the ground aside from the odd smile or two scattered throughout. Not the best episode of Hetalia: Axis Powers by quite some distance then, but you can't win them all I suppose.
